Gran Ggignol
performed on avant-garde stages in a whitewashed style
reminiscent of the Dark Contemporary Dance (Ankoku
Butoh). They based in the city of Fussa, and they
performed numerous clubs, such as the legendary Kichijoji
Minor, and were very popular with music fans at the
time, as an artistic band encompassed not only music
but also equipment, lighting, flyers and fashion.
Sadly, they disbanded in 1981.
Their only LP was recorded in 1981, in the late stages
of their career, and released on Pinakotheca in 1982.
The album caused a shock due to its high degree of
perfection and is now sold worldwide at high prices.
This CD version is an exact miniature replica of the
original special format LP cover, including the gold
ink printing on the cover and the silk-screen
printed outer plastic sleeve.
The latest digital remaster supervised by the original
band member.
Limited edition of 500 copies.

This is
the first official release of Gran Guignol's live
recordings. Gran Guignol was an exceptional group
in the Tokyo underground scene. These recordings are
from their performance at Yaneura, Shibuya (Tokyo)
on 13 February 1981, shortly before they disbanded.
In the early stages of their performances, they performed
in a whitewashed style reminiscent of the Ankoku Butoh,
but as they played a total of 50 performances, they
gradually changed their sound style to more pop tastes.
This is one of the very last stages of their most
pop-taste period, and was a powerful extension of
their only album. This album also includes songs that
were popular on stage but were never recorded in the
studio and were not included on the album.
Includes additional information such as the lyrics,
photos and memories of the time from the original
member. Limited edition of 300 copies. |

"Jintai Jikken
Sha (The Association of the Experiments on Humans)",
an art performance group, was formed in 1974 by Acid
Yomo and Kyosuke Kaku (a.k.a. Tairyu Kakuta), art school
friends. They performed theatrically, but instrumental
members gradually joined, and in 1977 they started as
a band "Gran Guignol". After several changes
of members, the band consisted of Acid Yomo (Vo.), Kyosuke
Kaku / Tairyu Kakuta (Key.), Hiromichi Totsuka (G.),
Takashi Mochizuki (B.), Hiroyoshi Komatsu (Dr.) and
Hiroshi Nagashima (Sax).
Gran Guignol played more than 50 stages between 1977
and 1981, gradually changing their sound from an underground
grotesque stage performances to more pop. Their only
album was recorded in the very late stages of their
career, so it is said that many fans feel that the album
is different from their live performance. |

Die Krupps
moved their activities from Germany to the UK and
recorded "Entering The Arena" in 1985 as
their first UK release with Zeus B. Held, a talented
producer who had worked with Dead Or Alive. However,
the album was released as a six-song mini-LP, which
for some reason did not fully reflect the musicians'
intentions, and was a tragic end to Die Krupps' own
career. Thirty-nine years after the release of "Entering
The Arena", the musicians themselves reorganized
it as "Entering The Arena: Resurgence",
a full album based on the original album concept.
All the 12 tracks are completely different from “Entering
The Arena”, the original mini-LP from 1985, including
five unpublished tracks and a 12" track that
was planned at the time but never materialized.

With the first
12" 'Wahre Arbeit, Wahrer Lohn' on ZickZack in
1981, Die Krupps became one of the most popular bands
in their hometown of Düsseldorf. This is their
live recordings on 22 December 1981, just before they
moved to a major label. It was a memorable concert,
the first time they performed songs from “Volle Kraft
Voraus!”, their first full-length album, which was released
the following year.
The final performance by Jürgen Engler, Bernwald
Malaka and Ralf Dörper, the three original members.
All the songs were even more powerful than the studio
recordings with the roar of the Stahlofon! The enthusiastic
audience repeated the call and response. The historic
recordings with the prototype songs, which differ from
the album version, and the turbulent Dusseldorf club
atmosphere of 1981.

of 12, Felix Kubin (then known as X²) formed Die
Egozentrischen 2 with Stefan Mohr (then known as Generator
1). The band became an important part of the youth music
scene in Bergedorf, Hamburg.
These recordings, as well as "The Tetchy Teenage
Tapes Of", had not been released publicly and were
released as a compilation LP by "Was Soll Das?"
in 2005. Due to the high completion and small number
of releases, the LP is now sold at a high price. This
CD version includes 14 tracks from the LP and 5 bonus
tracks. The CD cover is printed with neon ink as the
same as the original LP.

Die
Zinnforster is the legendary school Punk band from Dortmund
and released “Das Zauberhafte Land”, their only album
in 1983. They were supposed to stop musical act in 1989,
however, they actually continued playing sporadically
until mid-1990s. This is their 2nd album which is organized
by their late recordings and released for the first
time. Great Post Neue Deutsche Welle album! Including
live, demo and solo recordings additionally.

Krefeld. A superb historical masterpiece recording.
Including some tracks not on albums. Featuring: Jürgen
Engler, Ralf
Dörper, Bernward Malaka, Ralf Albertini,
Frank Köllges, Eva Gössling.
This video was coincidentally shot by Yuzuru Agi,
the chief editor of Rock Magazine then. A part of
the recording was excerpted and previously released
on a flexi disc from Vanity Records, Agi's label.
This DVD was digitally remastered from the original
VHS tapes recentlly discovered.
The memorial release on the 6th June 2021 to celebrate
the 40th anniversary of their first show.
A 12 page booklet is included. Liner notes: Jürgen
Engler.

debut album which was released in 1983 as a limited
edition demo cassette for concert organizers.
This CD version includes 10 tracks from the original
album and 14 tracks from their live and early demo recordings.

This
is the first solo album of Moritz R and he does attach
importance on the fact that it was almost exclusively
made by himself alone. To Der Plan enthusiasts it may
be interesting to be able to compare the musical solo
works of all three members now - and notice the diversity
this band has always embraced.
The album itself is a mix of pop songs, experimental
tracks and collage-like aggregations. If it was a radio
station it would be filed under ?eclectic’. ?I just
let myself drift in every direction I felt like moving;
after all it was my own music - no need to explain to
anybody, no discussions. That’s why the album is called
?Nach Herzenslust”, a German expression meaning ?to
one’s heart’s content” or ?ad libitum”. During the last
decades in an ever more controlled world, I have found
that the one thing I love above all is freedom. So maybe
this is my tribute to freedom.”

Moritz
R became known as part of the German New Wave and
?Neue Wilde” painters generation of the late 1970s.
Like a few others he started as a painter, but became
even more identified as a musician of the electronic
band Der Plan. With Frank Fenstermacher he was a co-founder
of the independent New Wave gallery Art Attack, that
became a focus point of the new art scene of the Dusseldorf
region. Here it was that they met Kurt Dahlke aka
Pyrolator and formed the band Der Plan. Moritz described
this constellation as ideal for his work, because
he could combine music, live performances, mask-,
stage- and record cover design, music video and a
strong desire for edgy conceptual ideas in one project.
Nevertheless everybody in Der Plan always had their
solo and side projects. For Moritz R it mostly meant
painting. His works could be seen in exhibitions in
Europe, America, New Guinee, Thailand and Japan. He
also did stage and record cover design for others,
most of all Andreas Dorau, who had been on the independent
Ata Tak label, that R ran with Fenstermacher and Pyrolator
after the end of the gallery.

| After the split
of Der Plan in 1992 Moritz R’s musical activities were
scarce, until in 2004, when a new generation of DJs
and musicians, who had discovered Der Plan as their
roots, sent out a call for an album and a tour of Der
Plan. It seemed like a good moment in time, but an unfavorable
one regarding the current activities of the Der Plan
members except for Moritz. So he asked the colleagues
for permission for a side project called Der Plan 4.0,
to make it possible after all. It resulted in an album
called ?Die Verschworung” and a few festival live appearances
with Achim Treu and JJ Jones, but ended 2 years later.
Meanwhile Moritz R had collected numerous ideas for
songs and lyrics and also built his own studio at home,
where he could work independently on his own. After
the reunification with the original members of Der Plan
and the release of the album ?Unkapitulierbar” in 2017
there were still a lot of songs unpublished. Also the
tour of Der Plan was unvoluntarily interrupted by the
Corona pandemic, which led to shut-downs and cancellation
of gigs. But it also offered chances, f.i. like recording
a solo album! |
